Here's a fun look into a short film I was working on which I’ve decided to bench for the time being and maybe return to one day. It was called ART THEORY and the idea behind it was to be a counterpoint to all the other over the top CG shorts that people were creating. I thought it might be interesting to try and create an almost Woody Allen approach to the CG short. Very few shots, all lockdowns and let the dialogue drive the piece versus physical gags. The idea was to have two grad students wandering a modern art museum discussing the works.

Even though ART THEORY is a work in progress and will not be finished as intended, I’ve definitely fallen in love with these characters and I have another section of dialogue between them that I think I will refine and re-imagine into a new short sometime soon.
